Simone Leembruggen-Podiatrist

Simone enjoys working with people and sees a range of problems from early childhood developmental and growth complaints to the elderly with foot deformities and reduced mobility.
Sports problems and orthotic therapy and dry needling techniques are also an interest area as well as Diabetes assessment and education.
Simone regularly attends additional courses and seminars to stay up-to-date with the latest treatment techniques and knowledgeable about recent evidence and studies to support our treatment methods and provide the best possible therapy and advice to our valued clientele.
Seeing a need to add value service in the West Geelong area, Simone recently became qualified to fit and sell a great range of Medical grade footwear and the Nano Bamboo charcoal fibre sock range. This fills a need in the area for people who need a shoe to be fitted correctly for their individual foot type and want support and comfort. These needs are generally not met in the general shoe stores.

Simone also holds a Diploma in Languages (Italian) and is learning Spanish from the perfectly fluent massage therapist Gonzalo!

Dr. Matthew Carbery-Chiropractor

Matt has been practising his style of Chiropractic care for many years and does not believe in over servicing.

His style works with the body to restore natural function and relieve pain and other problems which are coming from spinal origins.

After careful assessment, he will decide which joints are in need of manipulation and will not just 'crack everything he sees'.

This allows the body to repair itself and provides longer lasting relief of symptoms.

Jane McAvoy-Naturopath

Jane McAvoy commenced clinical practice in Geelong and Lara in 1999, after completing her Health Sciences degree in Naturopathy and Massage Therapy.

Jane’s approach to treatment is a fusion of traditional healing methods from many cultures, modern science and practical common sense.

As most health issues may stem from many causes, her broad experience and thorough assessment help clients save time and money in their quest for good health. For example a person may suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome due to a pinched nerve in their back, mineral or chemical imbalances, muscle tension, food intolerances, sub-clinical infection, poor diet, stress, or a combination!

Unfortunately many people suffer unnecessarily on a medical merry-go-round or put up with their symptoms as due to “age”. Naturopathic treatment also succeeds in that “grey area” between great health and disease, where people know they don’t feel as well as they should, but nothing abnormal shows up yet on medical tests, by assisting the fundamental needs of the body – getting nutrients in and waste out of all areas.

Bowen is the main massage technique Jane uses to gently re-align the musculo-skeletal system and assist lymphatic drainage. For example, many people take glucosamine supplements for arthritis, but unless muscle tension is addressed in affected areas, very little will get delivered where it is most needed.

Jane especially enjoys the educational aspect of her work. With more knowledge and understanding of natural body functions and processes, clients make lasting positive changes with enthusiasm.
